In this workshop taught by Seth Lieberman we will cover the basics of harmonium playing, including the mechanics of playing the instrument, becoming familiar with the keyboard and note names, some basic music concepts and terminology, care and maintenance of the instrument, and chanting and playing. Each student will get a chance to play the harmonium and should walk away having learned how to use the instrument to lead oms at the beginning or end of class and learn a simple chant as a group. This is a fun, accessible, supportive way to begin or continue your study of the harmonium and group and chanting. This is geared towards beginners but is open to anyone interested in learning more about the harmonium. Learn more about Seth at www.sethyogamusic.com or Seth Lieberman Yoga and Music.
*If you have a harmonium and can bring it to the workshop, please contact Seth to let him know.

Turning yourself upside down challenges body, mind and your sense of spatial orientation. In this class you will learn to approach inversions with confidence, an open mind, excitement and fun. It takes much more than strength to steady yourself upside down. Building an inversion from the bottom up will help you move into and out of these postures with awareness and understanding. We will explore all the places in the practice where inversion principles hide, so that you can feel more confident and comfortable when balancing upside down.
Inversions are some of the most beneficial yet intimidating of the asanas. We will explore and build postures such as headstand, forearm stand, handstand, and more. In this class I will guide you through the proper alignment, technique, and give you modifications, so that no matter how advanced you are you can develop awareness when upside down.
