Hot Vinyasa

In this class, you will flow continuously through a series of yoga poses accompanied by linking breath with movement in a heated room accompanied by creative musical stylings . The result is a detoxifying, sweaty and satisfying aerobic, strength, stability and flexibility building experience resulting in a lighter and sharper mind and body. All levels welcome. (95˚F – 100˚F, humidity 30% – 40%.).

Ashtanga (Mysore Style)

Ashtanga yoga is both the 8-limbed path to peace outlined in the Yoga Sutras as well as the 6 series of postures taught in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

Our classes teach the traditional sequence via a safe and supported supervised self-practice, and the ongoing trusted and committed relationship between student and teacher.

Students are taught one posture at a time, practicing the same sequence of asanas consistently, adding the next in the sequence when the teacher feels the student is ready.  Students of all levels are welcome to practice.

Guided (Led) Ashtanga

In this dynamic class you will practice the traditional Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. In this style, as we move through the sequence, students will practice keeping a steady pace while linking breath with movement. Specific instructions will be provided individually during class in certain postures addressing the needs of the student.

Primary series, also known as Yoga Chikitsa, means yoga therapy – a program that when done regularly cures your ailments and purifies the physical body, lengthening the backbody and strengthening the front body to prepare for deeper yogic practice — both physical and meditative.

Ashtanga Hour (Half Primary Series)

This vinyasa class compromises half of the postures found in the Ashtanga Primary Series,  serving as a wonderful introduction to the Ashtanga system while building strength, stamina, and flexibility. All levels welcome to practice and explore.

Intro to Ashtanga

This class, held the last sunday of every month, serves as a comprehensive introduction to the Ashtanga system of practice including posture, breath and philosophy.  Absolute beginners welcome.

Power Stretch Vinyasa™

In Alana Kessler’s signature creative vinyasa class inspired by her own personal evolution of practice, you will flow continuously through a series of dynamic and passive yoga postures by linking breath with movement in a moderately heated room. Practice will be accompanied by creative musical playlist stylings including seated meditation and yoga philosophy. Basics

In this class you will begin to learn and explore foundational and intermediate yoga postures in a slow, safe and instructional manner ensuring proper development and understanding on both a physical and subtle level.

Restorative

Restorative Yoga is a relaxing class incorporating yoga postures, breath work and meditation. The yoga postures are used to move the spine in rotation, flexion and extension releasing tension in the muscles. The student will use props to fully support the body in different positions. Specific postures and sequencing will help balance the nervous system and leave you relaxed but alert. This is an open level class. Welcoming all shapes, sizes and experience.

Prenatal

Our prenatal classes are designed for all levels and experience. Students will be guided through gentle stretching and toning of the muscles in an intelligent and compassionate manner geared towards preventing and relieving common discomforts of pregnancy. We will also explore the physical, mental and spiritual shifts during this beautiful time in a comfortable supportive environment, building a strong sense of confidence and community.

Postnatal/Baby and Me (6 weeks - New Walkers)

This class focuses on rejuvenating your body after childbirth through a flowing asana sequence while connecting with your newest addition in a playful and safe environment for babies. Rebuild strength and core needed to repair the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor stretched during pregnancy and labor. Learn baby yoga exercises to strengthen growing muscles, aid in digestion, promote better sleeping patterns, and help your infant toward their next stages of development.
