Drishti Yoga in Collaboration with Sangha Yoga Shala is offering a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified Teacher Training in New York City. The training will run on Friday nights 7-9pm, Saturday and Sunday all day from November 1st until December 22nd with exception of November 22nd-24th for Thanksgiving holiday. Whether you are an experienced practitioner looking to transition into a career yoga teacher or a new student looking to deepen your practice, this training will include some of New York’s finest teachers!
The training will be held in one of New York’s most vibrant neighborhoods, Williamsburg at Sangha Yoga Shala. Sangha Yoga Shala is a unique urban boutique studio that offers a variety of classes ranging from Ashtanga to Prenatal Yoga. Established in 2009, it has quickly evolved into a major part of the growing community of Williamsburg.
For those looking for an in depth and well rounded teacher training, this course will explore and focus on both the principles and sequencing of Vinyasa and Prenatal/ Postnatal Yoga, in addition to a comprehensive immersion in anatomy, yoga philosophy & energetics, meditation, and the business of yoga. The experienced faculty have an expertise in these specialties and collectively form a balanced and interdisciplinary curriculum.
Our graduates will not only know how to modify poses for pregnant students, but feel confident enough to teach a prenatal vinyasa class, a restorative class and to integrate restorative poses into vinyasa classes. Looking at different bodies will encourage well rounded teachers who will teach the people not just the poses.
Students enrolled in the training will have the opportunity to sample all the classes Sangha offers which include Mysore Ashtanga Yoga, Led Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Core Vinyasa Yoga, Basics Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Postnatal/ Baby and Me Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Toddler Yoga, Kids Yoga and even Pilates!
